狀語從句中的省略用法

如果從句的主語和主句的主語一致，且從句的謂語含有be動(dòng)詞的某種形式(am/is/are/was/were)，可同時(shí)省略從句的主語和be動(dòng)詞的某種形式。

1、when，while引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語從句

e.g. Do be careful when (you are) crossing the street.

When/While (I was) on my way to work, I met her.

2、if，unless，once引導(dǎo)的條件狀語從句

e.g. If (it is) properly treated, waste will do no harm to the environment.

三種常見倍數(shù)表達(dá)法：

1)倍數(shù)+as+原級(jí)形容詞+as...。例如：

This road is three times as long as that one.

2)倍數(shù)+the size/length/width/depth/height of...。例如：

3)倍數(shù)+比較級(jí)+than+被比較對(duì)象。例如：

The sun is a million times largert han the earth.

有很多作定語的代詞和限定詞，尤其是不定代詞和相關(guān)限定詞，可以用來表示數(shù)量。量詞不是一種詞類，而是許多與數(shù)量有關(guān)的詞和短語。量詞的構(gòu)成有很多，如由“名詞+ of”可以構(gòu)成很多量詞，此外有各種數(shù)詞，某些與數(shù)量有關(guān)的形容詞、名詞、合成詞等都是量詞。還有某些與數(shù)量有關(guān)的詞組也可以作量詞。
